Natural Solution for Dry Eyes

Keeping the eye moist is essential for good eye health. Tears bathe the eye, washing out dust and debris. They also contain enzymes that neutralize the microorganisms that populate the eye. In dry eye syndrome, the eye either doesn't produce enough tears, or the tears it produces have a chemical composition that causes them to evaporate too quickly.
Causes of Dry Eyes
There are several causes of dry eyes. It can be “normal” degeneration from aging, a process which is accelerated if you still eat cooked food. As with any degenerative condition, eating raw foods and a lot of greens in particular will help. Dryness is also a side effect of laser corrective surgery, many medications, such as antidepressants, certain blood pressure medicines, and even birth control pills. It is a serious condition and must be addressed. I am not a doctor, so these causes of dry eyes are not my territory.

Water-based propolis is rich in antioxidants, flavonoids, and natural compounds that help:

Unlike alcohol-based extracts, the water form is gentle and safe for daily use, even directly in or around the eyes. Research shows it may help with conditions like dry eye, puffiness, redness, and early signs of eye aging.
🧪 Example Studies:
A 2014 study in Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics highlighted propolis' potential in reducing oxidative damage in ocular tissues.
Research published in Molecules (2020) confirmed water-soluble propolis extracts retained bioactive antioxidant compounds without the irritation associated with alcohol-based tinctures.
Eye Exercises for Dry Eyes
There are two types of exercises that you may find of help: one deals with eye movements and often appears in books geared toward improving your eyesight naturally. The second type was originally designed to restore the youthful look around the eyes. I discovered that some exercises I used to eliminate wrinkles around the eyes actually improved my eyesight and made my eyes moist.
You might want to begin with some gentle exercises that you can find in books and on websites which discuss how to improve your eyesight naturally and then explore the facial exercises in my book Rawsome Flex.
